Assistant Professor – University at Albany

University at Albany, State University of New York.  The Department of Sociology at the University at Albany invites applications for a tenure track position to begin fall 2020 at the rank of Assistant Professor.  The department will consider candidates with strong quantitative skills whose specialization is in Crime, Law and Deviance. We seek candidates who demonstrate the potential for excellence in research, including pursuit of external funding and who exhibit a strong commitment to teaching and service. PhD required by date of appointment. Degree must be from a university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization.
